I studied Psychology at the University of Birmingham, which included conducting research on Post-Traumatic Growth and how adversity can become the foundation for resilience. I then qualified as a teacher and worked across London schools, and was awarded the London Teacher of the Year Award 2021 for my dedication to supporting young people.
To deepen my understanding of child development, I worked as an Assistant Psychologist in a national children and young people's clinical psychology service, supporting assessments and training teachers and parents across the UK. I also contributed to psychological research at UCL.
Over ten years working with children and families, nationally and internationally, I have learned to notice what sits beneath the surface. Where confidence has been knocked, what is making school or friendships hard, what is not being said out loud.
What I have learnt is that children need to be both taught and understood, helped to grow academically but also with their confidence, resilience and friendships. It all comes hand in hand. I have a unique skill set: understanding the classroom, education, psychology, and how to build trusting and lasting relationships with children. I would love to work with yours.

I put connection first, so a child feels safe and respected before any work begins.
Reading what's beneath the surface
A wobble in confidence, a friendship worry, a subject that's quietly become scary. I notice what isn't being said and shape support around it.
Communicating in a way that reaches each child
Every child responds differently. I adapt tone, pace and language so learning lands, whether that's playful, structured, or somewhere in between.
Being a consistent, trusted presence
The same warm, reliable adult, week after week. Predictability is what lets children take the risks that lead to real progress.
Moving quickly once trust is there
When a child feels genuinely understood, they become braver. They're ready to try harder things and to be pushed further. Being warm doesn't mean lowering standards, it means they trust you enough to take on the challenge.
